You know the names, The Wall Street Journal, CBS News, Forbes, National Public Radio (NPR), and you have trusted them to provide you with news and insight. This month all four of these trusted organizations suggested that now is a great time to buy a new home. But, you have also heard that message before.
Many of you have been bombarded with the same pleas from the National Association of Realtors, National Association of Homebuilders, and their respective state and local counterparts. You also probably assumed they advanced those arguments with their own agendas in mind. And while there might be some validity in that thought initially, the actual truth is much closer than you might have imagined.
As the National Association of Realtors point out in their advertisement, “Every market is different…,” you might not see the same picture in your community but the overall outlook is the same. Interest rates for those who choose to finance a new home purchase continue to be at historic lows. Home prices have dropped dramatically in almost every market to “pre-boom” levels. And lastly, the selection of homes available to purchase is abundant.
Regardless if you are looking at a newly built home, a nice resale, or a bank owned bargain, now really is a great time to make that purchase. Click on the links below to see what the Wall Street Journal, CBS News, Forbes, and National Public Radio have to say.
